Rear diff lock question, what is the switch to the right where the rear diff lock should be. (1 Viewer)

U.S. Market LX470's never had a Rear Diff Locker. In years '98-'99 they ALL had a Limited Slip Diff (standard equipment).

The same year models Land Cruisers had an OPTION for rear diff locker.

Then in 2000 ALL U.S. Market 100 series went to ATRAC.



'Canadian Market' LX470's were available with a rear locker.
Good to know. Now I know why my a-trac doesn't work in my '98 LX470... Wonder if it's possible to retrofit an e-locker from a 100 series ladcruiser into an LX470?

Anything is possible with enough money.

Yes, quite a few folks have put an entire rear axle and necessary wiring harnesses in.

OR 'Lokka' makes a rear 'Auto Locker' that one forum member has installed.
