Bear with me - we don't have a manual.

Seems like a silly set of questions -

How does the rear climate control work, and is there a dedicated A/C evaporator in the Rear?

I had an 80 series previously - the "rear" control was a high/low switch for HEAT only.

We had our front A/C on - I thought the rear controls (above the rear driver seat) was set to upper 60s. I had the "Rear" button in the center console on. Our GSD puppy was freaking out - the blower motor in the center console was seemingly blowing hot air - same as what the 80 series did.

I turned the front "Rear" button off and blasted the front A/C and she was fine.

I pulled over a little later and set the rear control slider down that last little bit - and today manually set the rear to medium speed and top/feet, with the front A/C on.

The rear was blowing cold air - and it felt colder than just picking up 'cool' air from the back.

I noticed the center console "Rear" button was lit up - I thought it was on heat again, turned it off, and the rear controls that was blowing cold shut off.

So..... what's going on? How should it work?

The rear A/C (if equipped) has I it’s own evaporator. It works pretty good to cool the back.

You have to turn on the rear air button up front and then you have to turn on the air using the controls on the headliner over the passenger rear seat.

Once it is turn on using the roof controls in back headliner and leave it on then you can turn it off and on using the button up front.

I guess some 100 series only have rear heat.
