My NAV screen just started going black when I put it in reverse. No message at the bottom to be aware of surroundings, no garbled image, just black.

From the parts diagram, it looks like there is a separate parking control module, possibly under the driver's seat, that is distinct from the DVD player for the NAV under the passenger seat. It's pouring rain right now, so I can't get out to look to see what I'll find under the driver's seat. I'll check for loose connections tomorrow, but has anyone encountered this issue? And if so, what was the solution?

Cheers,

Figured out how to get DTC codes from the head unit. It gives me a 5C-40 for the camera. Anyone experience this one?

Searching that code on google turned up the diagnostic sequence. With that code, the issue is either the wiring, the camera, or the head unit. Removed the camera unit and cleaned up the connectors. Plugged it back in and its fully functioning.
