hoser said:IMHO, it is at least as strong as if not stronger than the OEM 2004+ LX "In-Bumper" hitch which is rated at 5k lbs. Could somebody with the "in-bumper" hitch could snap a pic of the rear undercarriage. I'd like to see how they have it set-up.
Brentbba said:While I can't speak for the 100, on my 80 Kaymar rear bumper, it uses the same six bolt locations as the OEM trailer hitch had used. In addition it uses two bolts each side into the side of the frame rails and two more right into the pintle hook holes on the rear cross member.
Grand total - OEM six bolts rated at 5000lbs. Kaymar in bumper twelve bolts, but can't remember what it's rated. ROW on the 80 OEM under bumper hitch is 7500lbs.
