Does anyone recognise these numbers on a 78 series rear axle? It appears to be the reinforced version but with brake drums. The original axle has no reinforcement and I'm looking at getting one of these to replace it, so my question is can I fit this to my 2008 VDJ79 if I swap the disk setup over?

Numbers dont look like Toyota part numbers. Rear axle part numbers look like this 4****-*****
It helps if you know the year and intended market of both vehicles.
But I dont think it will be too difficult. They may use different brake master cyls.

There is a lot of other options like increasing the track etc

Thanks, from another source it looks like the lack of brake caliper mounts on the axle I posted may be the problem here. I think the axles came off trucks for the African market, but not 100% sure on that.

I'm in the UK so parts are scarce here, and I was looking to do a coil spring conversion so wanted to use the later reinforced style axle.
