how important are these guys?
it has a rubber "cushion" in it, and kind wraps around the spring pack. the axle is located by the button on top, the spring center pin fits it on the inside. the axle housing has a hole on the pad to clear the centering button.

have a replacement axle that has a centering hole only large enough to clear the spring center pin. if i discard these, everything fits up nice.

pretty sure they were just to improve the ride and comfort for the us market.

I think when I installed my OME springs I was told not to install that thingy, but OME supplied a bushing to make up the difference in diameter. I guess my answer is, the pin fits securely in the hole you don't need them.

Mine are still on my stock springs.

Just leave them off!
