Rear axle questions

Hey Guys,

My 1966 FJ40 is undergoing a rear axle rebuild and have some questions.

1) My factory manual says it takes 25 liters of gear oil, obviously this is a typo. So do they mean 2.5 liters?

2) On the 66 do the rear wheel bearings need to be packed or do they receive gear oil?

2.5 is correct and rear wheel barrings live on gear oil.
