Hello everyone, I have a rear axle that I am trying to identify. The diff. looks like an 8" standard toyota. It is a full float axle, but the axle flanges look different than photos I have seen. I am looking to do a disk brake conversion, so I need to make sure what axle I have.

It -looks- like it might be the Toyota full float axle off a HJ60. I had one on my FJ60.

The drawings below might help you make a positive ID. If the hub parts match up - it's it!

That's the Dolphin/chinook dually conversion axle from the camper pickups

Thank you, do you happen to know of anyone doing disk conversions on them?

nothing im aware of. I'm sure you could weld tabs and out 80 rear discs/calipers on it pretty easily.
Not sure why youd want to use that axle in a 60 anyways

This isn't for a cruiser. I am new to this site, and couldn't find a better place to post this. This is for a toyota rv, but I thought the axle looked similar to the cruiser axles and figured maybe someone would know. So I appreciate your help/

80 series hubs will fit those spindles. I made some sleeves and disk brake brackets to turn one of those dually rears into a single wheel rear end. Those hubs only fit the weird dually wheels that they came with.
