I recently replaced the axel shafts and birfield joints on the front end of my 93 FZ 3x. The axels had 200k on them and there was too much play between the shaft and the flanges, the gears felt rounded and there was a groove in the inner shaft where it met the seals. The truck drives much much better after the replacement.
My question is, do you think I should also replace the rear shafts as well? I haven't inspected those and there isn't a whole lot on Mudd, or anywhere, about replacing the shafts-- just the seals so I'm guessing the rears aren't replaced too often? I was just thinking, with 200k on them, maybe its time?

I have 217K miles on my rears and they are fine. I just replaced my fronts, though. Birfs were toast.
