Rear Axel Seal (1 Viewer)

Rear axel seal appears to be leaking. I have a 76 40.
Do I have to take out the aussie locker to change the seal?

if its the seal inside the brake drum then yes you have to take it out because the c clips hold the axles in and they are now inside the aussie locker. and the axles have to come out to remove the seal and to put new in.

take a screwdriver and dip it in grease...use it to pull the clip out from the locker so you can pull the axle...no need to pull the locker.

A expandable pencil magnet will work also, but, of course, it latches onto any metal which is just about everything in the third member. Heck it is all of it. ;p
