Giving it a good cleaning today. What is the best way to clean the tons of build up in here?

short of taking the egr valve out and removing the plenum, throttle body cleaner....I pulled my valve and gave it as good a spraydown/wipedown as I could being careful to not dislodge and loose and larger bits of crud into the air tract; like I said pull the plenum to do it right. and sometimes if you're not willing/able to go all the way, less can be more......

Thanks Crusher I figured as much. Got a lil off but it doesn't look as bad as the pic. Now the throttlebody on the otherhand. Looks like I have been running gravy through this thing for 20 years. Shined that up put in a new TPS and new Thermostat with gasket. Hopefully thatll help me over the 9 mpg mark. I did bring my high idle problem back to the beautiful 650 mark. Who knows but thanks for the advice as always. Peace out.
