Got everything ready to go to pull my 2f from 1985 60. I was loosening nuts on engine mounts and saw there ate two for each mount: one below the mount and one above. Which is better to take off when pulling engine. Will be putting engine in rust free donee. In process now.
Depends on how the engine will be supported once it's out. If you don't need the mounts to support it out of the car, it doesn't matter how the mounts are removed.
I undo all four nut (on both sides of both mounts) and just let them fall. I think you end up hitting the core support anyways unless you really hoist it up.
