REAL TIME Diff gasket help (1 Viewer)

I am replacing 3rd members now and can't find gasket material wider than 10 inches and the size needed is almost 11 inches. Does anyone reccomend taking the 10 inch and siliconing a piece to make it the right width?

When I did my third I just cleaned the surface really well and used no gasket. Just RTV. It's been thousands of miles later and not a single drop has leaked.

Use "Right Stuff" gasket maker and you won't have a problem.

I've got 1000's of miles on both Right Stuff and regular RTV. Both have held up fine.

Thanks guys. I went with RTV. Now it is time to figure out why my flanges don't match...

Flanges don't match 'cause they're different years....

Careful on that flange thing. You might want to check the gear ratios to make sure they match.

x2 on the right stuff been using it since it came out. ive used it on semi truck third members at work and no problems.
