Real Time Birfield Repack HELP (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys,

Im getting ready to install the felt, rubber seal and steel ring and I have conflicting instructions.

The birfield DVD has a different order then that FSM and the FAQ writeup.

The DVD has this order starting from center of the truck:

1. Felt Dust Seal
2. Steel Ring
3. Rubber Seal (with the ridge facing out, opposite from the center of the car)
4. Steering Knuckle

The FSM and Romers writeup in the FAQ has this order starting from the center of the truck:

1. Felt Dust Seal
2. Rubber Seal (with ridge facing towards the center of the truck)
3. Steel Ring
4. Steering Knuckle


I am missing something here ?

One of them has the rubber seal and steel ring backwards. Also one of them has the rubber seals on the wrong dirrection.

Im stuck with greasy hands on my laptop.

The FAQ and the FSM are correct. As I recall, the lip on the rubber seal goes away from the steering knuckle.
