I’m obviously suggesting what one could do to a car you don’t own. You don’t have weeks to brush and soak it properly . . . But they might break free after one treatment (or none) many have.

Rust opinions vary extremely on Mud. Those of us who live with it are pretty tolerant and used to the hassles. Those who live without it would never own a vehicle that had a spec of rust anywhere. IMHO, the rust on the one you’re looking at is not a showstopper. Make your decision based on other things, unless you’re one of the rustless folk.@Sandroad and @bloc thank you very much for the helpful and detailed replies. I'm going to have the PPI done on Tuesday and go from there, but I'm very much on the fence about this rig because of the rust. It seems like some on MUD think it's not a big deal but others would pass on it. If you or anyone else has any further thoughts it would be much appreciated. I know you've already helped a lot and I appreciate that very much.
