Re-purposing rear factory amp wires

Can anyone think of a reason not to re-use the wires for factory rear amp to run audio back to the dash? What I am doing is I have installed my ham radio behind the panel in the passenger rear compartment. I want to then use the old un used amp wires to take the audio back up to the dash where I will plug into a the un-used speaker in the lower part of the dash on the driver side. Thoughts?

Wires are a conduit. As long as the gauge is sufficient for the load then you're OK. I used the +12 for the factory subwoofer for my OBA setup.
It helps to have the schematic.

Is the power wire(+12) to the amp hot with the key on, or just when the radio is on?

It's hot with ACC, just like the radio.
