I would like to re paint the inside of my FJ40. I was wondering what primers and paints folks have used? only surface rust, nothing bad. Would like to match the original rustic green color. I can get some aerosol cans from cruiser corp if it's my only option.

I saw one guy hit his cruiser with POR-15. I'm not sure I can topcoat that with a color though? Any advise would be great.

I agree the only way to treat it correctly to stop the rust is to prep down to bare metal and then epoxy prime the metal and then final paint on top of epoxy primer. I use Tamco paints and there chassis black epoxy primer,. However, SPE has very good products as well.

/this\ That interior looks pretty good. I would not repaint, but rather clean up and preserve it. Read up on all of @wngrog 's adventures with preserving patina. If the floorpans, and under the gas tank is really bad, you can treat with primer, like mentioned above and either paint or use Lizard Skin. See some examples of this in @wngrog 's work.
