Hey Ya'll,
Just in case nobodys sure of what Im typing about. It's the Heater rail that runs along the Head right above the Distributor on the 3FE. Any how I need to replace this and the associated hoses. The rail itself isn't all that much. But the preformed hoses may be up to 2.5 times more than te rail costs. Just wondering if anyone hase replaced this and just used some properly sized High temp hose and not have to pay out the ass for the prefomed stuff.
If so, give me an idea of what kind or type? Thanks ya'll.

If you're talking about the most upper of the coolant lines on the pass side of the engine, yes...my '87 60 came to me with that upper metal tube already bypassed with off the shelf 5/8 heater hose. It's zip tied to the[now unused]pipe. Sorry, no digi photos but it's pretty simple.

i had to redo that stuff too, found a used hard line and got close enough standard hose from the auto parts store. it works fine
