My saga continues. This last round of shed time was going to smoothly!

Fúcker won't start, absolutely zero spark!

I changed a few harness connectors while I was doing the head and had the harness loose. I'm thinking I have a bad connection at one of them.

It started and ran before I pulled the head, so it's gotta be something I've touched, or I'm just plain unlucky.
Sometimes you need to just step away for a minute

hopefully you get your spark gremlin sorted out
side note, maybe its my eyes/image quality but cylinder 2 and 5 bore(s0 look jacked up? I'm also guessing that cylinders 1&2, as well as 5&6 didn't have a coolant breach at least, being they aren't "steam cleaned".
agree with either a "boost" or timing issue, especially since the head seems flat. kinda rules out an overheat issue.

again, good luck moving forward. try and keep it fun

p.s. did you happen to check any irregular movement in the wrist pins?

Check the plug on the top of the distributor. Frequently a broken wire in or near that plug.

Also double check your ground wires, specifically the one from the coil on the inner fender to body and block.

Yeah, I'm thinking it's the distributor connector.
It explains the total zero on spark.

Pretty certain all ground wires are good and correct, spent some time tidying them up previously

Will get multi meter out if distributor connector doesn't sort it.

Good job! Must be a big relief to have it running again.

Almost, not quite! So close I can smell it!

It's running, sounds great. I have three sensor fault codes.
It's never thrown a code before.

:bang:

I am definitely happy it runs and drives. I can shift it under its own steam.
Moving to a new apartment, tomorrow was drop dead day. If it wasn't driving, it was going on a truck at $150 for a 10 minutes ride!

Mission accomplished.

Cruiser is tucked in snug in a new home.

Runs great, new clutch is sweet.

Idling at 1500+ rpms, so definitely gotta figure out what's throwing the codes.
I'd say you got her done and running in breakneck speed, Good job !!

With everything else I have going on, I'm happy.

For all the time spent in the garage, there's probably the same in ordering parts, reading etc.

Now I gotta wrap my head around wiring diagrams, figure out my faults.

Spaghetti wrangling ain't my forte, but I'll get it done

Ran the truck today with my TOYOBD1 reader plugged in.
Codes are
