Random Box under passenger floor (1 Viewer)

I am about to make some rock sliders for my BJ46. I want to attach them to the frame right where this random box is under the floor board on the passenger side. Can anyone help me ID this box and what it does. I want to remove it if it’s something I don’t need. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

I bet it is a vacuum tank which I believe is necessary for good braking?

Ya im trying to find one from a 60 series now so I can mount it on the firewall. Thanks for the help. Will post pics when I get them done.
