According to the web search I just did, you can mount any Rancho shock upside-down. I coulda sworn I read that in some Rancho literature in years gone by, but I can't find that now.

Quick question without notice can you run Rancho 9000 upside down
Im interested in finding the answer to this too...

I tried running some 9000s upside down on the rear of my 60 to preserve the knobs. They stopped working - no damping. I pulled them off to confirm it and found the rod slid in and out with practically no resistance. I turned them right side up and they worked again. It must be possible to get a nitrogen bubble in the valve. With the knobs broken off, the shock runs in its lightest setting which was about where I set them anyhow. I run Doetsch now. Ranchos are overpriced for an adjustment that I never used.

I am -

No problem -

But Doetch Tech are way better....

Plan on swappin them out soon...
