I found a great deal on a ramsey 8500 he will trade for some wheels I am selling. It is new in box it is this model | Ramsey Winch | . My question is is this enough winch for me? I have a 60, SOA, 37's, and will be carrying a fare amount of camping gear. I live in florida and get into some pretty thick mud at times. So is it enough winch to bother with? thanks

My Warn M8000 pulled a tahoe that was sunk up to the frame in mud out without a problem. I don't see why a ramsey wouldn't.
I’ve had a Ramsey 8500 mounted on the front of my 60 since I first bough it about 5 years ago. It’s served me well and it’s pulled me out of at least 4 “stucks” without a single hiccup. (I’ve also helped a few 2WD full-sized pick up trucks out of various depths of sand without a problem.)

They are just fine......rule if you want the full life 30 seconds on 30 seconds off and be sure to use a snatch block
