I have a 24" aluminium radiator I need to get into my 74 FJ40 and I'm pretty lost here.. I cut, bent and rewelded the stock mounting but it's not turning out the way I want. How do you guys do it and what would you say is my best best here? It won't fit in the frame rails so I don't know I'm lost damnit!

Well this is how mine is. It's a pretty long one. It uses just like 3 inch channel iron with these mounts welded which go to stock locations. Then just have some rubber padding in the channel. Lemme know if you need more pics, disregard the wording in the pic (different thread).

Mine is pretty similar to HawkDrivers. I used angle iron welded and bolted to the original mounts to change the mounting positiion. I then used the top of the shroud as another anchor point to the body on top. BTW, if you don't have a shroud, you might want to consider it. Helps big time in cooling.
