Hey fellas,

Searched through a bunch of threads but this is probably common knowledge that no one made a thread for. I've replaced an fj62 radiator last year but my memory has already lapsed.
I have my radiator loose and ready to pull but the 2 lines (not the main hose) remain below. Any times on getting those out? Dismounting them from the actual radiator seems like not a good option as it just twists the hose. Did y'all disconnect the lines back under the oil pan then pull the radiator?

Sorry about the simple question. Some of these spots are tight and frustrating! I'm used to working on motorcycles :)

There should be unions in the lines at the radiator:

The fittings on the lines should rotate on the hose assembly. Are the connections gunked up, preventing them from rotating?

Super gunked up. I'll clean them up and go at it again. Thanks! Only thing holding me back from getting this swap done.

Got em! Thanks again. Took and inhuman amount of strength to break that 240k mile bond :D

I know what you're talking about. I'm in the middle of swapping over much of my '89 FJ62 into my '86 FJ60 project vehicle - everything that comes off has to be cleaned/painted before it goes back on. Haven't broken any bolts or studs yet.
