Considering a seal kit in my rack and pinion. Its a lot of difference in the cost of replacing the seals and buying a new rack and pinion. is it worth the trouble to try and rebuild it?

After a lot of hard work and more patience I have successfully removed, rebuilt, and replaced rack and pinion. Seal kit was $35 at O'Reilly's and it was complete
with all seals needed. NO LEAKS! I am glad to say that it is done but if someone was thinking about doing this make sure you take your time. It is a tedious task to say the least.

Curious if you still have slop in the unit? Often by the time the seals start leaking the rack and gear teeth are worn out of spec.
