Just a note to those who may have a leaking R12 air conditioning system.
I took mine to a favorite shop for a look see as my A/C did not work.
After searching for a while, he found that the system was leaking from the base of the condensor where one of the lines comes out (in).
Cracked over time, perhaps.
Maybe give you an idea of where to start looking.
New condensor and an R12 refill ($180 for 2lbs)
Mine blows cold as ice now.
Hope it lasts.:D

Also, had a different muffler put on to open up the flow a bit and give it a little more clearance there as the new muffler is flat, not round like the big giant Toyota one.
Had him give the radiator a solid flush and refill with Toyota Red.

All for under $800. Not too bad...

That really isn't too bad.

I think you made the right desision keeping the A/C r12.

Congrat's,

Curtis

The guy that did the work told me that he really does not like to convert to the more modern refrigerant if there is not a major component failure like the compressor. He said mine was smooth as silk.
