quick Speedo cable question

I've gotta quick speedo cable question. 76 fj 40

I think it's broken or pulled loose at the Xfer case end, is there an easier way to get at it then pulling the seats, the brackets, the gastank and finally the hump just to get at it?

It's probably moot now, because I've got all but the tank its self and the 2 bolts hidden by it for the hump out.. .but I feel like there has to be an easier way...

There should be a grommet where it passes thru the body, and ALL you should have to remove to get the cable out is the grommet.

un screw it from the tcase under the truck and pull to engine bay ... your seats didnt need to come out... email me nexted time before you start pullin parts
