hey guys hope all is well in your worlds. so im thinking about a v8 swap and using a 60 transfercase in my 80 for the part time. so my question is which one would be stronger the 16 or 19 spline and what year should I look for? any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks and have a great night

The 16 spline is a 75-80 one piece case.
19 spline input is 81-later split transfercase.
The split case is stronger, quieter and has a 2.3 low range, vs the 2.0 in a 16 spline.
Best years are 86-later, because of the marginally stronger 38mm idler shaft and the 88-newer is upgraded to roller bearings on the output gears, instead of plain bearings.
