Quick question on rear view mirror covers (1 Viewer)

Just had my windshield replaced and I noticed that the plastic cover between the mirror and headliner just hangs loose/does not clip-in in any way. It seems like it will just drop down with the vibration from driving. The similar cover for the box to the right of secures much better. Is this normal, or should the plastic piece that covers the wire latch/lock in some way? TIA

On mine it hooks in at the top, then has a clip on each side. My guess would be in not knowing how to remove the cover they broke off one or both of the clips.
