I know front lockers are difficult to steer with manual steering when under power.

What about when the hubs are locked but in 2H or 2L?

Never had a problem before I installed power steering. Had Manual for 5 years.

Howdy! May be different depending on type of locker. I have run a LockRight for about 10 years in my Pig. Changed over to a PowerTrax No-slip about 6 months ago. I run a lot of 2 lo, and the NoSlip does seem to steer a little easier than the LockRight. Both unlocked on turns in 2lo, but the No-slip does it quicker and easier. John

With the hubs locked in 2 wheel, you won't know an autolocker is there, except for an occasional pop or click. A selectable spool, like an ARB you would notice as the inside and outside wheel are coupled when it is locked, but you can just turn it off.

In 4 wheel with hubs locked with an auto locker, you will notice a little harder steering and understeer because of the difference in speed of the front and rear wheels, but it isn't as bad as with an ARB or electric locker where you also have the inside outside front wheel speed different to deal with.
