Question... Is there a physical difference in Front Diff HOUSING between 100 series models?

A buddy gave me his old Front Diff Housing ('01 LX), and I'm thinking to build it for my '04 LX.
It will include full bearing refresh, and Locker + Regear. All new guts, and proper pinion flange, etc.

I'm pretty sure it is... but I'd like to find a solid answer... if the main diff housing is 100% compatible between the model yrs.

(I'd like to keep my stock front diff intact... for whatever reason)

Ok, just spoke w/ Jason at CruiserTeq, and his answer was YES... they are compatible.

The Diff , Ring/Pinion, and Pinion flange are different between the '01 and the '04... but the casing is the same/compatible.
