My 2H has an aftermarket turbo system. I'm not real sure whose kit it is but it uses a Roto-Master turbo. Anywho, I noticed today that I have port on the valve cover that isnt connected to anything (most likely pcv). It looks like there is a matching port on my intake, but it appears to be welded shut. Is this normal for an aftermarket turbo? Should I leave it as is?

It for the crank case venting. Not a big deal. I would put a longer hose on it just to keep dust and dirt from entering the engine.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I realize its just venting the crankcase, I am more curious as how other turbo kits handle it. Do they keep the tie in to the intake or do they just vent it elsewhere. Thanks! Steve

it's the crank case ventilation, on mine and presumably others it goes straight back into the inlet manifold. your engine seems to have that part removed from the manifold for some reason (i've only seen the butterfly assembly removed in some instances where a boost compensator is used).

you should run it back into the inlet manifold or filter box some how. It's not ideal to have it open letting dust get in the top end.

all the kits i've seen retain the hose. looking at that big black pipe makes me think it's a backyard job
