i noticed in another post the 81 ebay truck , american trucks don't seem to have the little hard top vent .
is this a canadian thing ??? wierd ! or am i just blind ?

question i was curious what years had the little hard top vent .i don't see it in many pictures .i had one on 78 and a 79 fj40 . do not all the later years 40 have these ? don't know who's truck this is either

I am curiosu too. what does the inside of the vent look like? My rig has so many holes in it, an extra vent isnt necessary! :)

only on dsl late model 40's, like all the canadian bj42's but not bj40's(I dont think)

I don't think they had that in AUS however
 
It's to help keep your ears from popping when you climb past 15,000 feet.

My '82 Canadian BJ42 has them... I don't have the inside black defrosters on mine like in the pic, though...

dsl= diesel....


Late model....anything past 1979 when talking about 40 series....but with this, it was talking about post 1982 diesel 42 series.
