Fxxx you guys. I never claimed to be hArd. I'm soft like a muthafxxxer.

I like being comfortable driving home. I'm old and decrepit. I don't like drama on the road and I break a lot in case nobody has noticed.

I think Jeremy ought to build a Sami to tow behind the taco.

I also think you oughta pant the taco pink.

I like white taco so the color is also applicable, although pink would work to. As long as its not black.

I haven't seen too many black tacos. They are usually so dark that I just can't tell whats what.

I just don't get the Sami thing. Not for me.

If I get the dual cases done by then, I'm in. Ordered everything I need, except the 23 spline input shaft which marlin should have next week. Got my hands on a transfer case today too!

Prolly gettin' them there 4.7 gears for the twin case too, I 'magin.

With a 3.4/auto? I don't recommend 4.7's. Fun, but not necessary. Plus he would have to put them in the front box. I hear the inputs on the chain drives are a tad limp wristed.

Auto's have a lower first gear?

Not sure about the first gear ratio, but it will be way different behind an auto with the torque converter.

I've had a few veteran wheelers recommend the stock gears in the crawl box.

Like Jeremy said, the torque converter works like a doubler or tripler (technically its infinite). Plus the 3.4 has power numbers closer to a tbi sbc. 10:1+ is silly.

Well I may be in for this one...if I hold off on mounting the new tires and starting the work that will entail...

:wrench::censor::beer::beer::wrench::whoops::beer::censor::wrench::steer: Tires installed.

Still waiting on my second order from marlin which should be the output shaft, giant snap ring, and rear hardware kit. I'm starting to think it's on backorder and they didn't bother to tell me. Gonna call there today.

I found a place in Rockdale (15 min from work) that can do the driveshafts. Same day turnaround if they have the correct adapters, 2-3 day if they don't and have to send them out.
Truck Parts Rockdale, IL ( Illinois ) - Darryl A Dupre, Inc. <--- Talked with the guy there on the phone. He seems very knowledgable and I got a rough quote of $150 to build a front drive shaft, and shorten/balance the rear.

Driveshaft unlimited in lyons is great.

I'll vouch for 'em. They just did mine and they turned out great.

Welcome to Chicago-Driveline, Inc.

These guys did both my shafts twice, they do good work, quick turnaround as well. I need to scrape some pennys together and have them modify my spare shafts so i could actually use them on the trail.

Last time I was in there they were a bunch of assholes... But hey, I don't judge.

I usually am.

They are assholes, but they do good work. First time i was there i told them i need this legthend to x"s working length. Their responce: [scratchey smokers voice]What the fxxx is working length[/scratchey smokers voice]. lol!! My kind of place hahahaha!! They do good work, and are nice once the credit card came out. You have to go in there knowing what you want because they wont help you very much, then again 99% of shops around here have no idea what we want or are trying to do so they would be of little help anyway.
