I have a leak from the pushrod cover. I took off the 10 bolds, 2 nuts, distributor, and oil filter. The damn cover wont come off...it wont even budge...it is stuck on there.

It doesn't appear there is a gasket between the cover and block (at least not visible).

Do I need to pry the thing off. If so any suggestions on how?

Yeah - pry carefully. It usually has a cork gasket and they get baked on. Take a putty knife and tap it with a hammer to get it started. Or a screwdriver but you can do more damage that way.

the gasket should be cork. in that case, as others have said, thin putty knife and patience. they also make a gasket remover spray that softens the gasket which helps a little...you can find this at any of your chain auto parts stores.

if it looks like there is no gasket, then thin putty knives (plural) and patience.

they'll come off...but you may have to curse a bit.
