Had these bent rusted out doors so I decided to try to resurrect them riveted some pieces down towards the bottom and fiberglass cloth and Pour 15 eventually I'll Rhino line the insides to give a little more strength. I need to cut the window wing post out for window netting at some point

Thanks to Summit Steel in Oceanside Calif and @landcruiserman for the sponsorship. Today I bought some pipe insulation and started mocking up the roll cage per the Mint 400 rule book. Please this is only a mock up and yes the bends will be cleaner and we are thinking about doing a A pillar/ B pillar hoop depending on space. I sent these pics out to a few Ultra 4 and those who have raced the Mint and we should be good with something like this to pass tech. So many in the Cruiser community have stepped up to help make this race happen and I am very Great Full

Rob, hate to say it, but with that rear hoop design, you will never fit in that cab? Make sure you mock up your seat and sit in there
One of the Ultra 4 guys suggested running the A/B pillars as one hoop Were going to check it our today. Seat will get mocked up when my co driver comes out next month.

I've been following you on this elsewhere but hadn't jumped on here yet.

I'm calling this the "Ofiicial Steal Rob's Ideas for My 45" thread! LOL

For real, this is so awesome. Thanks for sharing hope to see you soon!

What a Great day. 3 of our local Cruiser heads came by help out each one of these kids own FJ40's. Josh and Justin started mocking up the bed frame for the Jazz 22 gal fuel cell and tire mount. Nia a 22 year old new FJ40 owner helped break down the front axle for a fresh FJ60 knuckle rebuild and Marlin gussets. These young folks are the future of this awesome hobby and also willimg to learn. We had a Awesome time hanging out

@whitey45 LOLOL I have a few plans for the Mighty 1.5 those will have to wait until after the cage is finished. All the build parts are coming together. PRP seats, Belts and window netting will be here on the 11th, leaving the 7th for a trip to Valley Hybrids for our 3rd's (FJ60 4:10 ) 60 driveshaft parts, knuckle stuff and other misc parts, a stop by Marlin Crawler on the way home. 4 of our 7 tires will be here tommorow Thanks to our new local tire sponsor Kotitas tire in Yucaipa. Parker pumper was donated, Some Rusty Nail family wlll be here this month to get things wired up and @cruiserbrett contacted me that some updated wiring harness stuff is on the way. Classic Cruiser's sent a used factory early air cleaner I will be able to modify to run a tube into the cab where the heater blower was for a secoundary air box inside the cab. Tons of other stuff going on emails, phone calls, all the fab work and Having fun doing it

Looks like we will be running FJ80 drive flanges on the front axle. Thanks @orangefj45 and he came up with a new build title " FJ445 " were gonna take this to the next level LOL
