Just wondering, trying to take out the starter in my 92. On a 3FE is it best to go from the top or thru the passenger side wheel well. I noticed that there is a plastic flap under there I could take off. Any suggestions? The FSM just says unbolt.

I will offer a guess. The 3FE is basically a fuel injected 2F, and on the 2F the starter is easiest to get to from below. The frame on the 40 and 60 at least, is sort of in the way. I think I loosened the top bolt from above, then the bottom bolt from below, and pulled it out from below. It's been awhile, but that is what I recall. It goes without saying, but unhook the battery before you do anything else. Also while you are there check the ground wire which is right there and clean the crud off of it's connections.
