Hey all, so after two horrible failed attempts to purchase a 200 (thought I had a done deal with a '13), I found Gertrude who was hiding down in Knoxville TN her whole life since birth in 2011. She turned 50K miles on the 15.5 hour drive home to upstate NY.

Unfortunately, the two previous LC's were considerably rusted underneath so I began searching down south. FINALLY, I actually have a LC in my driveway and learned a lesson to never post a new purchase until the rig is actually sitting in my driveway. After flying into Knoxville, I was pleasantly surprised that Gert was even better in person, and had zero rust as the dealer photos had indicated. She was obviously babied and the original window sticker states her options were painted side moldings, remote start, upgrade package, mats, and 20" TRD wheels were added as well. The headphones and remote to the DVD are actually still in the plastic.

I love the black/beige combo and have already removed the fender flares to clean and wax behind the flares (will reinstall as I like the look), ordered 295/55/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, ordered the red TRD start button (guaranteed 50 hp increase ), new Weathertechs throughout, new Toyota Tundra 18" wheels as backups, and wheels locks. I plan to order a lift eventually, ARB drawers, Slee sliders, and who knows what else. After hanging around so many influential people on this forum, my wallet continues to shrink considerably ;)

First stop after leaving the dealership was Chick-Fil-A in preparation for the long drive home.

This picture was taken around midnight "somewhere over the pacific" during a 15.5 hour drive which 90% consisted of hard rain and winds exceeding 40mph at times. Safe to say, I frequented many rest stops to regain my sanity.

Thanks my friend!

love the wheels.

Thanks a bunch, I have to admit that typically I am not a 20" wheel type of guy, but after seeing these in person I think I may be hooked. I ordered new Tundra 18" wheels today just in case the 295/55/20 Ridge Grapplers don't tickle my fancy.

Congrats Paul,
I like the wheels. I don't know if it matters to you but I don't think those wheels were ever available from Toyota NA so unless they were imports they could be knock offs. If you're going to wheel hard they might not be as strong as an OEM wheel.
Enjoy the rust free 200, it's not easy to keep the LCs rust free up here.

Thanks Ant! They may certainly be knockoffs as I have searched everywhere and couldn't find "TRD 20" OEM wheels. The carfax has a TSB that talks about TPMS when mounting TRD wheels before the first sale, so maybe the knockoffs were available as an aftermarket addition. I do like them and will see how things go with the 295/55's. However, I have a set of the 5 spoke OEM Tundra wheels coming just in case :). I will store those and may mount them after an Icon lift and accessories. Rust free is a good thing and I have an appointment this afternoon to get the whole undercarriage sprayed with Krown protectant. I don't want my cherry undercarriage to even think about acquiring rust haha.

congrats ! I too just got a 200 from Tennessee, had it shipped to California . It was originally from Knoxville Toyota and ended up at the Chrysler dealer in lenoir city. 2014 with 1100 miles so basically brand new. I've had it for 3 weeks now had new ko2's put on the morning after it arrived, and will be taking my travel trailer out on its maiden voyage with the 200 this weekend. It's gonna be the first time in the dirt so I cant wait! Yes this forum will cost us as I see a lift in my future after tax refund, enjoy the cruiser

Sounds like you have big plans for her. Post back on how the Krown protectant spray goes. I may want to do that too and would be interested in what it involves. And BTW, unless you've already swapped in a diesel, I don't think the VDJ200 in your sig line is correct?

Looks like a nice one. Hope you enjoy it after all your searching!

And in my opinion, the 2011 Black LC is the best model there is. :)

Congrats..... ! liking those rims but agree you wnt ot look for the stampings on the back to ensure they're toyota...

Congratulations on the truck! I'm glad you were able to find the right one for you. I agree with others that those wheels look pretty sweet and will look awesome with your big ol' Nittos on them.

I do have big plans, and this will be the second vehicle that I have utilized the Krown rust protection on. It's great stuff and google will reveal that people love the stuff as I do. And, signature corrected thanks :)
