pulled my inspection pan while snooping for an oil leak, both sides of the flywheel are dry, i found oil on the front of the tranny and and all over the inspection pan. it was definitely oil. it was slightly wet at the rear of the oil pan, but only at the rounded section. no oil is actually dropping from the pan, it's dropping from the inspection pan and to the rear of it. sound like a pan gasket? thank you, oh great gurus.

Yep, that sounds a lot like the oil pan gasket, when you buy a new one, be sure to get the one piece gasket and not the 4 piece.
