PTO winch original cable (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know what the original size and length of cable
should be on a factory PTO winch?

Looks like the diameter should be 8mm. That is what is on the three units I have. The length was around 135' from what I have been told. I have only one that has the complete cable with chain and hook. I have not laid one out to measure one so I can't tell you for sure.

I am not sure if rickd is back on the board regularly, but I think he had a bunch of stock PTO units at one time.

Steve I may have a couple in the shop off of 70 series if you want one. Fibre cored 8mm and not that good for anything. I normally toss them so kind of an iffy thing.

I've pulled a couple off of older winches. Good quality cable (not fiber core on these older ones). 5/16 or a metric equivilent. Never measured one of the original cables, but they seem to be about 165 feet.
