PTO unit (1 Viewer)

I've got an 83 FJ40 with 4sp box, and have been offered a PTO winch from a 60 series. The question is "Will the PTO unit bolt onto my transfer case?" I've tried a search with no joy. I dont know anything about the 60 series it came off, so I guess I really want to know if the PTO unit is compatible with the different variations of transfer case. Can anyone help? Thanx

If both are split case transfers, and I think they are, it should bolt up. The only difference might be the length of the driveshaft on the PTO.

Thanx - that's what I thought... Lengthening or shortening the driveshaft should be no problem. I'll pull the PTO cover off & check it fits before handing over any cash, but have to travel a couple of hours each way to get it, and just want reassurance that I'm not wasting my time (and gas)
