I thought these were long gone. I checked the site, and he has some 60 series trays available. I ordered and received my tray via priority mail within three days.

All hardware was included and it is a half  job.

Hey Joey, if you go to their sight they have a hold down for 34's

Dynosoar:zilla:

Yeah but its for an Optima 34. My guess is that it is designed to slide into the groove on the battery. If I go with the Sears Platinum then I dont think it will hold down right. I could be wrong but just wanted to make sure.

final install with new deka battery:cool:

nm - pic wont upload

I ordered two trays the other day....not made it to my place yet. I emailed about hold downs for the 78 series batteries...not heard back yet. I wanted to run two full size batteries like fit my suburban...which as I recall are 78 series. I think he listed a 78 series hold down and that's what I emailed about.

can others view the pdf attachement above? I can't....I do have adove reader installed on the computer I'm using to access the web site from home.

They gave me a AGM Deka Seamate & RV Battery. Group size 27 model 8A27M

Fits the tray PERFECTLY.

What about the NON Optima folks running the 34s?

I hear you...I just might sell my S.S. Tray since it won't accommodate my Sears Platinum 34 and get a "new" toyota battery tray.

I went back-and-forth with the guy from this place and told him which battery I had(Sears Platinum Marine G34) and he said what he had wouldn't work. Besides, what he does have that we're thinking would work, is out of stock.:frown:

Edit: This is from the website directly:

"This all stainless hold down will accomidate Optima group size 34 and 34/78 batteries. Comes with J-bolt and hardware. Will work with stock tray."

leads me to believe that it'd work on any/most Group 34 sized batteries? I guess I can order it and send the wrong one back and report my findings.

I was gonna go with the 4+ trays from MAF, but they used to be $89 - Now they went up to $125 !! So the SS tray seems like a viable option again... Particularly if they now fit group 34 Die Hard.

Mine didn't fit a 34M Sears marine battery. And the guy doesn't make one-off hold downs. But, I could probably make a hold down for it myself....if I knew how to weld!!!

Wicked! I wish I wasn't broke as hell

x2 on that!

Some time ago I had enough to buy two and was wanting them badly.... But now, I'm broke and would hate to miss out on these....:frown:

Oh well, hopefully there is still some avail when I get some change to spare.

?.... What are all these battery types sizes I'm hearing about??????????????????? I figured "A red top is a red top"...

That's an easy fix..just score a welder off of ebay and practice practice practice......

I got two and the look nice under the hood...... Now I gotta do a two battery set up....

I think you could fab a battery clamp easy enough....

These trays are nice. I have been happy with mine.

i've had mine for years, just added a second batt (dual batt setup w/ BIC). I've run all sorts of batt's with mine in the past, mainly the group 34 optimas. Yellow and now dual blue. But - they should be easy to slightly modify to fit just about any. thread the post a bit further down, insert some rubber pads on the hold down and it will hold more than just the optima 34's.

Noel is a great guy - he'll get back to you. Remember he's a businessman so if you guys show enough interest in a non-optima hold down i bet he can make them. I've spoken with him and actually had these before he updated his site that they were available again. I even have the water bottle relocation bracket which was one of his prototypes. Now once i desmog i'll actually use it, but it's cool!

GL!
