I have the old orange 3 ton stands. I always double up with stands and use a jack as a backup as well. I never trust the stands, any for that matter.

A trick I've learned to is if I have the tire off, put that under the frame as well so hopefully that helps stop the fall if something bad happens.

I do the same. But you should still return those stands and get new ones that haven't been recalled

I have the HF aluminum versions. I wonder if there is a recall on those.

I need to check the product number on mine to make sure. I have no idea if the older orange ones are covered under this as well.

Mine are these, no idea on age of them, but I've had them a long time.

Got my replacements today.

Interestingly, I had 4 but only two were of the recalled item #s. I guess I can trust the other two?
