I am looking for a used PS pump that might get me by for a year or less. I am going to do a swap soon and don't want or need to go saginaw or oem.

for an 86 FJ60 - I found one in a wrecking yard here in Bilings on an FJ62 but I don't know how long it has been sitting,...I do know that the truck was wrecked years ago and didnt have a lot of mileage,...any thoughts? I do not know if the 3FE's pump is the same. I have researched and found that rebuilds are a very bad idea and I don't want to pay 441 for a pump that I wont use on the 1HZ. but i need to drive my rig for now as it is my only one. i can buy the salvage pump for 45 bucks but wonder about it sitting there with no fluid in it for so long. welcome your opinion.

I'm thinking the 3FE pump is different, the return is on the wrong side of the tank and not certain but the mounting location is probably different as it's on the pass side versus driver side.
