My 40 had the hard line deleted from the heater line that runs from the firewall to the junction at the lower radiator hose. I'm in the process of adding it back, but I'm not 100% sure on how it should mount. Looks like there's a spacer involved - to clear the side cover lip, and then I assume a nut?

Here's what I currently have - two studs with nuts on them. Do I remove the nut, add a spacer, and then put the nut on top? Or does the current nut stay in place, then a spacer, then the hard line, then another nut?

I assume the spacer is a little aluminum or steel piece with narrow walls to clear the lip on the side cover?

I’d leave the nuts, add spacer, pipe then nuts for that. But don’t know if that’s original.

So beautiful Mike. Thanks for the reply.

Mine has block, spacer, tube bracket, and then nut.
