i started reading this thread last night, and just finished it.
AMAZING, i must say. absolutely beautiful.

it seems that the bed lined up correctly with the wheelbase? i've been contemplating something like this, using a minitruck (90s) and 'an Fj40, because of the distance from front to rear axles and the body lines.

Latest edition. Butch has donated again, on permanent loan, this perfect bezel which I finally painted and back-filled the letters. One of these just sold on ebay for over $500, which probably put a bounty on all of them, but what the hell. Thanks Butch(Texican).

I also found NOS rear side windows and had a new rear window made in tempered glass, so now all the glass is new. Wipers hooked up to the 80 series factory column switch complete with 2 speeds and intermittant. Cool for a 1965.

I'll be at the February meeting. Might even make the Roundup this year. Might even buy a couple of batteries and get Purdy up and running. Might sell the pig.

But my brother still lives in the Springs, so my yearly visit can easily accomodate a side trip.

???? If you really sold it I can't understand why And why I missed it....this has to be my all time favorite land cruiser, and after wheeling with you in Moab, I was even more impressed with it.

I did get lucky with the wife. She is a hottie. Thanks for the props on the 45, I'm not dissapointed in the no sale in any way. I will be wheeling it this summer for sure.
