I'll post directions to the house (I think I even have a map drawn somewhere on this computer) tomorrow then. From the house it's a half mile to the shop, but I have yet to successfully give directions directly to the shop, so to the house they will be.
Does anyone have a compression tester that will work with the 2F? I'll do a comp check just before I take it all apart, just to help sell the engine down the road.

I have a comp tester that you can use. It's just a typical tester so not sure what the 2F needs! Evan can pick it up on his way to your place if I can't make it on Sunday. I also have a leak down tester to if you need it.
It is not one of ours but I like looking at it.

Sexy does not even come close to describing that truck. That is a killer expedition rig that would really look good in my garage.
Mike, do you know anything else about it?
He first posted a few pics in the 80-Section so I suggested he post a new thread in the Expedition section. Here is the thread.

Directions to the Silbaugh shop.....
I figured it'd be easier to just give directions to the shop (let's see if this works), because otherwise I'd have to hang out at the house until everyone got there, and everyone would have to get there about the same time. Obviously lame, so here's how to get to the shop....
From Albuquerque:
Take I-40 East.
Exit at the Tijeras exit and head north on North 14. You will turn right (east) on Frost Rd. Basically, Frost is turning right instead of turning left to go up to the Sandia Peak ski area.
From Frost, you will go about 3 miles east, and turn left (north) on Camino Alto. There is also a sign for the "Sandia Knolls" on the left, the Knolls is the area, the road is Camino Alto. Follow the same stretch of pavement/yellow stripe until you come to a stop sign. The road curves and goes up and down and all around, and changes names a few times, but follow the yellow stripe over three speed bumps, shortly after the third is the stop sign.
At the stop sign (Pinon Heights), turn right (east) and go up the hill. The house is 51 Pinon Heights BTW, if you get lost, that should be easy enough to find. Look for the light blue Dodge Town Wagon in the trees (I may move it out to the front driveway to make a good landmark). Keep going up pinon heights, and turn left (north) on Gilbert. Follow down the hill and left. When you see the dead end sign, you want to turn right (north) on Gaddis (I'm not sure if there's a sign or not). Follow that about 100 feet or so to where it comes into a T. Take a left (west) and head up the hill. Follow what mapquest calls "Canyon Road," which takes a SHARP turn to the right and keeps going up the hill. You will see a gate labelling it as a private road (it is--and that gate is always open), but keep going. After the gate the road switchbacks to the left, and 100' later goes takes another right turn. You'll pass a bunch of parts of a steel building set around, and a house on the right (with a Chevelle sitting on blocks)--keep going.
It crosses a pipeline, and in the pipleline easement there are a few trailers and a decrepit Chevy truck. Shortly after that, there's another gate, which I should have open. Keep heading up the hill. You can't miss the shop after that. It's the only building, it's got my HJ-45 sitting outside, and a big-truck axle and wheels lying around (and I'll probably have a Power Wagon parked outside too). You can see the shop from just about anywhere from the time you turn onto Frost road, it's brown, and all by itself on the hillside.
If you look at Mapquest for "51 Pinon Heights Road" it'll show you the house. But the map includes the road up to the shop, and the satellite view clearly shows the shop.
Here's a map showing the last mile or so. It doesn't quite get Frost Road, but it's pretty easy once you find Camino Alto. The Star is the house.
Evan: you turn right onto Frost from Gutierrez Canyon.
Vince: I assume you're coming from Santa Fe. Take 14 south through Madrid and Golden. Just after the San Antonito school, Frost road is the only real left turn you can take, just across the road from the San Antonito church.
I'll try to be up to the shop by 8 or 9 in the morning, so if you want to hang out for a while, that's cool. Otherwise I'd guess that around noon would be about right to pull the tub itself off. I'll make sure to post on Saturday night when I get home, just in case I somehow get stuck away from home. I am flying through Chicago and Dulles once each before I get to head home.
And if anyone gets lost: 366-8662. We can come find you.

Not as early as I would have liked, but home.
I'll probably be getting up to the shop between 9 and 10 tomorrow (probably closer to 10). If you're early, no biggie. Drop by the house. I'll either have the Town Wagon parked in the driveway, or the faux-lux (with a MUD sticker) is in it now.
