I had theses tires from my dad's 80, they have plenty of life left so I'll run them. Don't look too bad!

So im in the mind set now of "dont get it right, get it running." Having said that I need to address the motor. The motor in the 60 needs a rebuild and my initial intention was to rebuild it. For the sake of getting it on the road sooner I have been looking for used ones. The 05-07 2uz is significantly more expensive than a older 2uz. to the point where its worth buying a whole vehicle. Lkq wants $1500 for one. Ive found one or two at other junk yards for a thousand.

Don't you have the later ECU and harness? Does that need to match the motor since the later ones are VVT?
What exactly is wrong with your current engine?

The harness and ecu I have is for the later 2uz with vvti. the 2uz in the truck is a later 2uz with vvti. The problem with the motor in the truck is I bought it completely apart. The rotating assembly is in a box.

Not much of a update but I think I have a plan for the fuel tank. I met someone Who has swapped at uz drivetrain in their 60 and used a Gm 90-98 k2500 k3500 gas tank that baffled the sending unit supposedly works well with the gauge so I am gonna order those parts soon. In trying to figure out the exhaust routing I've decided to move the brake line that goes down the frame to the rear to the passenger side frame rail. Should not be too much work to do so. anyway heres some photos of the tanks im my friends 60. I know it will probably fit differently in mine.

UPDATE.

I decided to buy yet another 2uzvvti motor so I can go threw and have ready for my 60. It was "rebuilt" but looking at it look like it was armature hour when putting it together (way too much RTV). After pulling the heads i noticed it was a little worse for wear so I decided to completely tear it down and have the blocked clean. One of the cylinders had some rust staining in it and another was sleeved and had too tight of piston to wall clearance. They were able to clean it up and still have a acceptable cylinder to wall clearance for stock sized piston's (did I mention it had 6 ART pistons and 2 toyota pistons? haha) . Waiting to get it back to reassemble. Putt in toyota rings and bearings, replacing the aftermarket ones. Ive always wanted to build a engine so why not? Enjoying my self so far! In November, I am flying up to Colorado to work on my 60. Goal is to finish any fab needed that requires the lift because at the end of the week, trucks gonna come back to Texas! Anyway PICS!
