I bought Trail Tailors tire carrier as I thought I was going to build my own. Glad I didn’t as he’s been working on this almost 2 weeks.

Not sure yet he was just putting it together.

He called after he welded it and said it’s solid.

Took the family up the Clackamas to the Collawash River to fly fish and catch crawdads.

Friday the wife and son went with her dad and caught 89 in the Clackamas. We hadn’t tried the Collawash so thought it was worth a try.

Didn’t find any crawdads but was able to catch some nice wild rainbow trout.

Had some yard hydrants to install for a good friend at his barn he built. Years ago helped him set the Doug Fir timbers with our pump hoist and brought back some great memories.

Got the 60 last evening. The Ruffstuff latches are not very well designed. The video of Dan the owner describing them shows the latches in the wrong orientation.

Also due to size the latches had to go down which I didn’t mind but was too close to the receiver.

In the correct orientation they stick out 5” from the bumper which Nick and I didn’t like. Decided to order the style he likes.
Amazon product ASIN B0006NC6AINeed to order and install clevis mounts too.
Ruffstuff said I can get a refund for the latches at least. They have gotten complaints about the video being misleading.

The new locking latches came in for the rear bumper. Ruffstuff returned their latches and exchanged them for long weld on clevis mounts.

Those latches are great. Only slight issue is the Texas sun makes them a little pink after a while. You probably don't have to worry about it.

Just glad Ruffstuff took back those latches even after they were tack welded on.
