Harlee and Ryder skiing through some nice tree glades.

After lifts closed Monday decided to put my climbing skins on the skis and head up to the base of the Palmer chairlift.

The freshly groomed corduroy was calling

and I had the whole mountain all to myself

Today was about as great as it gets skiing. The Magic Mile chairlift opened on a beautiful blue bird Tuesday. Timberline doesn’t run the chairlift too often in winter due to conditions and how long it takes to deice and load all the chairs. When I saw the groomers laying down some epic corduroy last night my gut told me Tuesday was going to be awesome, it sure was! We were the second chair to load this morning.

Rochelle didn’t feel like snowboarding today but instead wanted to get some exercise and snowshoe. She went about half way up the Palmer snowfield.

We had a great trip at Timberline. The pool is about 80F. It’s fun to go run and play in the snow then jump into the pool or hot tub. They have a ping pong and shuffle board table.

Ryder and I got up at about 5:30 each morning to spend time with each other. They also have 2x4 jinga blocks which were fun.

The views from the dining area are second to none.

Had a great family trip and can not wait for our trip to the Redwoods in June and Solid Axle Summit #4 in Ouray, Colorado in August with Ryder and Snowball.

Authorities identify man who died after fall on Mount Hood

Dr. Cory Johnston was a surgeon with Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. Authorities believe he died in a skiing accident.

Yesterday afternoon heard and saw a helicopter circling the mountain and flying between Crater Rock and Illumination Saddle. Told the kids that somebody was lost or hurt. Unfortunately found out that the person died. This is the 3rd death in the past month. 2 were in Heathers Canyon near Mt Hood Meadows Ski Resort. Prayers go out the families of the lost loved ones.

Started getting really cold so dug a path for the trailer to get closer to the fire.

Excavated a site to build my 10x10 pumphouse.

Closing on the 2 acres to the east of my lot and getting the paperwork prepared for the acre lot to North with well.
Wife and I went to Sunriver last weekend and had a great time at the Weekend to Remember marriage conference. Was awesome to go over marriage life and work on areas and grow closer to my spouse. I highly recommend it to any married couple.
The scare of the Coronavirus has spiked people’s interest in a manual hand pump for their wells. Installing them is my favorite part of my job.

These shocks give the 60 a nice ride. Not too soft or hard. My country road isn’t the smoothest drive either.
